Great Value and Amenities
My husband and I, along with our two kids (ages 19/20) and another family (same ages) stayed in this well-designed property for 5 nights.
The Great:
- Ski Locker and shuttle (ask for copy of schedule) to the hill are convenient (though the ski locker does not lock)
- Proximity to the hottub, pool, steam room, sauna and pavilion is AMAZING (can see the hottub from the room) and the little boardwalk path to get there is perfect (150 steps)
- I love having a fireplace in the unit. We brought firelogs
- Kitchen is well stocked (fondue pot, slow cooker, blender)
- There is a washer dryer in the unit
The Good
- We did not need to bring towels or sheets
- We had to ask twice for 8 pool towels but there were 8 shower towels provided
The Bad
- Not enough dishsoap provided
- Only 2 keys for the property were provided. We would have preferred keyless entry as with 8 adults coming and going, that was a challenge
- The lock for the ski locker was not working
- The in-unit sauna would not turn on /off with the timer, but it did not REALLY matter as we used the amazing sauna/pool as part of the facility
- One evening our water stopped working and it was VERY hard to get it serviced. With 8 adults needing to use the washroom and shower, etc., this was quite inconvenient. We did not have water from 10PM until 10AM.... When I called for service: they could only send someone at 9AM. There is a button where the washer dryer is that you need to push and that "re sets" the system. Apparently it is tripped if there is water on one of the sensors under the sinks in the kitchen / bathrooms/laundry area. This would have been helpful to know because we could have investigated to "dry off" the area and then re set the system. As a result - we had to drive to find public washroom facilities early in the morning. This situation could definitely have been handled better.
Overall though - we really liked the place, the layout and the location. We walked to and from the Village on our final night for dinner and it was a pretty easy walk (10 mins). In the summer it would be no problem but we would not want to do it with ski boots, etc.
The check in process was straight forward but I think that the listing information could be more complete (ie it does not say how well stocked the kitchen is / does not eve say that there is a washer dryer). Otherwise the people at the front desk were not that knowledgable about how to help us.
