Constructed using old timbers and beams from the Montmagny Train Station, that’s where this vacation home gets its name: Gare de la Forêt. These materials were meticulously transported to the lumber lot in Lac Supérieur. Perhaps this fact is what set the stage for this particular mountain abode to be so carefully built and designed, all with the full guest experience in mind.

This four-bedroom, two and a half bathroom home accommodates up to eight guests, making it an ideal spot for a family getaway or group trip. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, the second and third bedrooms have queen-size beds, and the final bedroom has two twin-size beds.

Beyond the bedrooms, you’ll be blown away by the living space in this spacious home. Enter the home and you’re greeted by the sweeping staircase, flanked by stunning art and a rustic chandelier. Next up, the family room is made for together time and comfort. With large windows to take in the mountain views and an oversized sectional couch and armchairs, this is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploration. The grand stone fireplace steals the show, and the rustic vibes are capped off with the exposed beams and woodwork throughout the space.

The kitchen is the perfect blend of rustic and sophisticated design and decor. With more beautiful wood and stone work, a wood-burning stove, and a large dining table, this really is the ideal place to share meals together. The kitchen also features spacious counters, an island, a beautiful chandelier, and updated appliances. After your meal, walk through the kitchen’s French doors and onto the porch where you can enjoy a cup of coffee from the Adirondak chairs.
